The Hilltop Ramble, established in 2024, is a new event at Eaglebrook. It quickly became a favored event among students because it was a fun and active way for the community to come together. The event is centered around a ramble, or casual journey, up to the recently purchased Hilltop Farm. The farm offers amazing views and abundant open space for outdoor activities. It has been used for barbecues, team practices, and other events where students can enjoy the outdoors. The Hilltop Ramble begins behind the Kravis dormitory, where all participants gather at the starting line. From there, students can choose to sprint, trot, or walk on the trail leading to the farm.
The first student and faculty member to reach Hilltop Farm will each win an award, adding some friendly competition to the event. But no matter what place you get, everyone is rewarded with ice cream at the end of the race, making it enjoyable for all participants.
Another important part of the Hilltop Ramble is the t-shirt design competition. Before the event, students had the opportunity to create and submit original designs for the official Hilltop Ramble t-shirt. This competition encourages creativity and school spirit in the student community. After reviewing the submissions, a winning design is selected, and the t-shirts are printed for everyone to wear during the event. This year, Eric Cho ’25 won the t-shirt design contest. Wearing the official shirts helps build a sense of unity and pride across the school. The Hilltop Ramble is more than just a physical activity; it is a celebration of community, creativity, and Eaglebrook spirit. As the tradition continues to grow, it is sure to become an even more meaningful part of the Eaglebrook experience.
