The 2025–2026 Varsity soccer team is composed of many experienced returning players, mixed with new talents who have just arrived on the Hill. Our full roster consists of Pato Belden ’27, Sebastian Chen ’26, Lane Faison ’26, Maddie Fay ’27, Silas Fils-Aime ’27, Pato Herrero ’26, Alonso Jurado ’26, Henry Lee ’26, William Levesque ’27, Navon Li ’26, Finn Matheson ’27, Andrew Moore ’26, Christopher Newson ‘28, Caden Nunez ‘26, Briggs Olin ’27, Andres Seal ’26, Ari Seol ’26, Eduardo Trevino ’26, Jesse Wooster ’26, Laminee Sesay ’27, and Frank Zhang ’26. Our coaches are Mr. Robinson, Mr. Leyden, and Mr. Weichselbaumer ’16.

A typical practice is initiated by our captains, Frank Zhang ’26 and Ari Seol ’26, who lead warm-ups and gather around the coaches, who explain the day’s drills and plans. During practice, we typically focus on one or two areas to improve as a team, such as passing, shooting, or tactics. The entire team takes the drills seriously and works as hard as they can, maximizing the time they have and improving day by day.

So far, we have had 2 games, one against Williston High School and the other against Pope Francis Preparatory School. Although we faced defeat in both games, we played an outstanding 80 minutes, giving everything that we had, and improving to the next level. Teamwork and perseverance were shown, and the players’ passion and excitement for every match are the key that make us such a great team. We are expected to face Indian Mountain School and Cardigan Mountain School in the upcoming week. The Varsity soccer team is looking forward to putting up a strong fight against the upcoming teams and expects a fantastic season this year.
