This year’s newly formed Eaglebrook JV golf team has been off to a great start. Ten amazing golfers have been hand-selected to be a part of the team. This year’s golfers include Tyler Crean ’27, Colton Fuller ’28, Yuentai Guo ’28, Ryan Han ’27, Derek Kang ’27, Jax Kilimonis ’27, Jack Metclaf ’27, Caden Park ’27, Fischer Williams ’27, and Max Yoon ’27, coached by Mr. Spencer Bell, Mr. Alexander Bogel, and Mr. Anthony Bourdon.

The JV golf team is composed of new faces, consisting of no returning JV golfers, granting new athletes a moment to be recognized for their skills. After a week of practicing and hitting on the simulator, the team got their first chance on a real course. On Friday of the first week of training, we played nine holes on the Amherst golf course, successfully playing with no trouble. The weather was great, and the course was in good condition, making it a perfect opportunity to play. We all had fun, and everybody gained valuable experience and practice from our first outing.
Some players impressed the coaches with long and accurate drives, some showed off their dominance in short games, and the other few conveyed their skills through their overall balanced game. Although it was our first time on a real course together, we still had fun, encouraged, and pushed each other for our small successes. With this momentum, we wish to improve and prepare for the upcoming challenges and matches ahead. Every few days, the coaches set up fun and exciting trips to practice ranges, courses, and more. These trips help us focus on our own shots and improve more throughout the season. Most Fridays, the coaches plan a lesson for every single member of the team, working with the facilities and resources of the Crumpin-Fox Golf Club, where we wish to improve our game further than we have before.
The JV golf team has already made great progress in getting to know each other every day. Taking advantage of the great golf simulator in the Sports Center, we have been able to hit different courses and play fun games. With the help of facilities, coaches, and great preparation, we hope to make big improvements, have fun, and have a great season with teammates and coaches. .
