The Hilltop Ramble, introduced in 2024, has quickly grown into one of Eaglebrook’s most anticipated community events. The event focuses on a relaxed journey up to the recently acquired Hilltop Farm. The farm offers amazing views and ample outdoor space for activities. The Hilltop Ramble is a tradition that brings students together in a fun and active way. The Ramble begins behind Kravis House, where all participating faculty and students gather at the starting point. Participants can choose to sprint, jog, or walk along the trail to the farm.
The first three students and faculty members to reach the end of Hilltop Farm will receive an award as part of this aspect of the ramble, as a friendly competition. Many students and faculty try to be first. But no matter where you finish, everyone will receive ice cream at the end of the race, making the event enjoyable for everyone participating.
To help promote the experience, another part of the Hilltop Ramble is the t-shirt design competition. Before the competition, students created their own original design for the official Hilltop Ramble t-shirt. This competition allows students to be creative and show their school spirit. After the faculty reviewed the submissions, a winning design was selected, and the t-shirts were made for everyone to wear during the event. This year, Sungbin Lim ’27 won the t-shirt design contest. This year, the judges chose a second submission, designed by Bryan Zhang ’28, to be made into posters. Wearing the official shirts helps build a better sense of pride across the school. The Hilltop Ramble is more than just a physical challenge; it celebrates creativity, community, and Eaglebrook pride. And as the tradition continues to grow, it becomes an even more meaningful part of the Eaglebrook Experience.
