Books, snacks, and big fall events! Make sure to visit the library to discover new books and displays, and keep an eye out for upcoming events.
There has been a lot of buzz in the hallways this fall, and most of it is coming from the Copley Library! Between brand-new books on the shelves, amazing new visual displays, and fun events hosted by our very own Library Committee, the Copley Library is quickly becoming the place to be.
If you haven’t stopped by lately, make sure to check out our new book arrivals. The library has added tons of fresh fiction, popular young adult series, awesome nonfiction books, and more. New visual displays featuring student artwork, seasonal themes, and top reading picks are there to inspire your next read and encourage you to visit often and take it all in. Come by whenever and check out a book that piques your interest!
The Library Committee has been kicking off some great events this year. On Wednesday, September 23, they hosted a “Book Tasting event,” giving students a sneak peek and early access to some of the most anticipated books of the year. Look out for more events coming soon to keep you engaged and informed. Anyone can come to these events, so we welcome everyone to stop by!
The committee will celebrate Banned Books Week (an annual campaign to promote freedom of speech) with a special “Banned Snacks” event on October 7th. Students who attend may enjoy a variety of banned snacks at the dining hall, hang out with friends, and learn about literary freedom, why certain books were challenged in the past, and why it’s important to have access to all kinds of stories.
Whether you need a quiet spot to study or just want to grab a good book after Hilly Chase, the Copley Library is a calm and friendly place where everyone can find something. Be sure to stop by and see what’s new!
