Whipple Pond is a beautiful place for all students to enjoy their free time at Eaglebrook School, whether through fishing, kayaking, or even playing with their RC boats. 

Eaglebrook offers various opportunities to appreciate spending time with classmates or other companions at the pond. These opportunities could come through specialized events organized by teachers, or students also have the choice during activity periods, after school, or any time they desire. 

The accessibility of the pond is a significant impetus for why it is so enjoyable for students. Whipple Pond’s population consists mainly of largemouth bass and rainbow trout and during the fall and spring, there are frogs and toads. Walking by the pond, most of the time, you could enjoy the students fishing in the amazing view of the fountain in the middle of the pond. 

These students’ fishing makes up for the importance of the pond by allowing others to enjoy the social aspect of the pond. The social aspect makes the pond even more enjoyable for students because you can meet people and make friends there. 

Fly fishing classes are also offered for students at Whipple Pond regardless of your experience with fly fishing. This elective can be a great opportunity for students to take a break from their classes for a relaxing fishing session at the pond with classmates. There are also opportunities for new fishermen during weekend activities.
