The JV2 soccer team is right in the middle of all the Eaglebrook soccer teams in terms of skill level. Our team is a mix of well-skilled people and some who have some things to work on. At Eaglebrook, we have sports from Monday to Friday from 3:15 pm to 4:30 pm. At the beginning of practice, we wait for the whole team to arrive at the field, and if you are early, we can get some shots on goal before doing a run around the field, as well as some stretches to warm up. We then usually get into a drill based on what we need to work on as a team. Sometimes we work on passing or shooting, other times we work on our touches on the ball. By the time we finish this, the time will be just about 4 pm. Then, the coaches put us into teams, and we play the World Cup or a scrimmage against each other, sometimes making new rules to challenge us to adapt and get better. We then gather all the balls and end practice.
Our team has had two games so far and has won both. Our first game against Turners Falls was won with an outstanding comeback, and our second was against a team (Mahar Regional School) that wasn’t at our skill level. I have high expectations for this team, and I believe that we will have an undefeated season. I feel that we will develop bonds that will make us all better players and leaders.
The JV2 team is led by Coach Carter Townsend ‘88 and Coach Miles Harlow. The team Roster is Drew Carvel ’27, Andersen Chang ’26, Christopher Desrosiers ’26, Henry Dowsett ’27, Samuel Liu ’29, Pajaro Martinez Villarreal ’27, Ryland Mehta ’28, Conall Menon ’27, Luigi Murphy ’26, Victor Oudin ’26, Addie Pieroni ’27, Daniel Pang ’27, Zach Schimmel ’29, Tyson Serpone ’29, Harvey Syers ’27, and Leon Tanaka ’28.
