We are having a terrific start to the season by winning Bement School by 3-2. In the Bement game, David Hu scored two goals by dribbling the ball across the field. The next games are against Cardigan Mountain School on Saturday, October 4th, and against Applewild School on Wednesday, October 8th.
We are getting ready for our match against Cardigan Mountain School by practicing clearing (getting the ball out of the pitch when you’re on defense), passing to others, and finding space. I believe that the Juniors soccer team can win against Cardigan Mountain School if we train hard and do the drills well. We always start with warm-ups, so nobody gets hurt, and then we often do drills such as passing, trapping the ball, and shooting. We play scrimmages with teams of four to five or play with the Thirds soccer team. Mr. Jodka and Mr. Olmsted are very kind, and they also know well what to improve.
After a game, we all gather in a circle and talk about what went well and what we should improve. Based on these meetings, we choose what drill to do that day and have fun. In the Juniors soccer team, you can have fun while playing soccer and improve your soccer skills. Let’s go Juniors soccer!
