Multisport is a program where students play a variety of sports throughout the week, with the goal of not only staying active but also fostering teamwork, encouraging participation, and having fun.
Instead of playing one specific game, multisport allows everyone to try something new, whether it is a sport they have never played or one they have played before. One day you can be playing soccer, and the next day you can be playing dodgeball. Due to this variety, students are always engaged and never bored. Because of this, everyone can play together and stay focused.
When it comes to practice time, it is quite simple. Everyone meets at the gym at 3:15, and the coaches explain the day’s plans and make teams. Sometimes teams are chosen by team captains, and other times by the coaches specifically. One of the best parts of multisport is how relaxed it is, even while staying active. Unlike other competitive sports, there is less pressure to win and more time to have fun, try new things, and make friendships with new people.
Overall, multisports is a great option if you want to enjoy playing sports without competing and stay active while trying a variety of enjoyable sports.
