Grandparents Day at Eaglebrook is a cherished tradition that allows grandparents to sit in on classes and attend extracurricular activities around campus. This year it took place on April 24th. The day began with a performance from the school Band during morning Assembly. After the wonderful assembly, students guided their grandparents from class to class, giving them a firsthand experience of what each of the seven classes is like every day. Grandparents were able to watch class discussions and sit in on lessons, allowing them to see how students engage with their learning. Students also get to showcase and explain what they have been working on in each class. Afterward, families gathered in the dining hall for a delicious lunch. During lunch, the Head of School, Mr. Chase, shared remarks, after which four students spoke about their experiences at Eaglebrook, sharing personal stories about friendships, challenges, and what they’ve learned during their time at the school. Their speeches added a thoughtful perspective to Grandparents Day. At the end of the meal, the Ad Libs, Eaglebrook’s a cappella group, performed several songs. Their fun, light-hearted performance brought excitement and energy to the room, with many laughs. To wrap up the day, the grandparents watched sports games and practices. Students were able to demonstrate the amount of work they have been putting into the fields while representing Eaglebrook. Overall, Grandparents Day was full of meaningful moments and experiences, highlighting the strong sense of community that defines Eaglebrook.
