Junior soccer is a development team for young players to improve their soccer skills, responsibility, and leadership, and to have fun. But Juniors soccer isn’t a team without our coaches, Mr. Olmsted and Ms. Sikoski. Our team wouldn’t be here if it weren’t for them.
During practice, we start with our coaches leading us in stretching along the sideline. We do all kinds of stretching, such as side shuffles, lunges, high knees, and arm circles. After stretching, we all gather in a huddle. To get partners to do a passing drill, we start with 5-yard passes, which are right-footed and end with our left foot. After the drill, we all stand in a line, and Coach Olmstead and Coach Sikoski assemble teams for our scrimmage. One team wears pinnies, and the other wears their normal uniform during the scrimmage. Our coaches want us to focus on passes, calling names for the ball, communication, and clears.
This group of people matters to this year’s Junior team. The coaches and teammates are supportive, kind, smart, and funny, and they make being on this team such a great experience. I am truly excited to spend the rest of the season with them and make memories. Also, we wouldn’t be a team without our goalies, Sam Pieroni ’30 and Leo Fang ’28. They are hard workers and resilient for what they do for this team.
Our 2026 Juniors soccer roster is: Conner Wang ’29, Jero Trevino Gonzalez ’29, Emilio Trevino Gonzalez ’29, Theo Tejavibulya ’29, O.S. ’30, Sam Pieroni ’30, Jordan Pang ’28, Jackson Micka ’30, Greer Menges ’29, Milly Li ’29, Kevin Guo ’30, Leo Fang ’28, Sin Kai Alexander Choi ’28, Ashton Chan ’30, Axel Cederholm ’29, and Kiran Alva ’28.
