The Varsity hockey season is already shaping up to be one for the books. The team kicked off the season with a special trip to Montreal, Quebec in Canada. It was a journey that was about far more than just hockey. The trip featured three competitive games, but it was the moments off the ice that truly defined the experience. For us, it became a chance to forge bonds that will carry us throughout the season.

The chemistry we built during this trip was formative, helping us grow not only as athletes but as a unified group. As we shared meals, explored the city, and supported each other through the challenges of the games, we solidified the foundation of what promises to be an exceptional season. The trip to Montreal was a pivotal moment for our team, one that left a lasting impact on the group that now stands proudly on Eaglebrook’s campus.

We are soon to gear up for what promises to be an unforgettable game against long-time rivals, Cardigan Mountain School, on January 18 at Alford Arena. The game has generated a buzz around campus, with students, staff, and players alike eagerly anticipating the showdown. It’s more than just another game—this match has the potential to set the tone for the rest of our season. 

Captain Jackson Sheehy shared his excitement for the upcoming rivalry, saying, “We’ve got a real special group of fellas that are truly willing to work hard. The guys are pumped for our game against Cardigan Mountain School this upcoming weekend, and we are really hoping this game can bring the energy in. This game has the true potential to set the tone for the rest of our season, and keep some momentum going for this great group.”
