The Junior Varsity lacrosse team is a developmental program at Eaglebrook. It comprises relatively younger, less experienced players who play around fifteen games every season. The 2024–25 season started with a week of grueling and harsh tryouts that divided the team into two groups, JVA and JVB. During this period, the coaches assessed the player’s abilities through star passing drills, ground ball drills, and small-scale scrimmage sessions. After tryouts, the team had a week of training before they had their first game on April 10th against Bement School, which turned out to be a convincing win for the Eagles with Alex Fortier ’26 scoring three goals.
The first major challenge of the season was during the Williston Northampton away game. The team had a great start, coming out of the first half with a score of 4–1 in favor of the Eagles. However, as the game progressed, the team was exhausted and ended up losing 10–5. While the loss was a big hit to the team, they still left the turf with enthusiasm and grit. The JV lacrosse team still has a long season ahead of them; while there might be hard opponents on the way, the team will always bring its perseverance and focus to bring home an Eaglebrook win.
