Meet Ms. Bowers: A New Eaglebrook English Teacher
Ms. Bowers is one of the many talented new faculty joining Eaglebrook this year. With a background as a math and STEM teacher, she brings a versatile perspective that can inspire students and reassure parents about her adaptability. Ms. Bowers grew up near Chicago, where she first discovered her love for teaching. Ms. Bowers and her husband, Chris, have moved a lot, calling places like Ohio, West Virginia, Indiana, and Pennsylvania home.
Ms. Bowers first looked into Eaglebrook as a parent, exploring options for her son, Joe Bowers ’29. She instantly fell in love with Eaglebrook and its philosophies of teaching, especially valuing how Eaglebrook integrated the outdoors, sports, leadership opportunities, and academics seamlessly into a student’s day-to-day life. Believing that Eaglebrook was the perfect environment for boys, especially at this developmental stage in their lives, she signed up as an English teacher when an opening arose.
Ms. Bowers has already integrated well into our community, actively supporting students and contributing to activities like library proctoring and dorm monitoring. She is a teacher, an advisor, and a parent. Welcome to Eaglebrook, Ms. Bowers!
