Mr. Hull is one of the newest members of the faculty at Eaglebook, and he has already made himself at home in the classroom, on the trails, and around campus.
You may have already met Mr. Hull around campus; he is affiliated with Mayer House and also has an advisory group.

Mr. Hull comes to Eaglebrook from Syracuse. Prior to starting his teaching career, he studied at Ohio State. Before arriving at Deerfield, he taught at both Shady Side Academy in Pittsburgh and at Isadore Newman School in New Orleans, both for three years. At Shady Side Academy, Mr. Hull noted that this favorite memory was “taking part in all the Mardi Gras festivities that the school puts on and eating the incredible food.” While at Isadore Newman School, he said his favorite memory was “when I watched the 8th graders that started with me at the school graduate from middle school.”
In the classroom, Mr. Hull teaches Fifth Form Algebra and Sixth Form Geometry. Outside the classroom, during sports, he coaches Cross Country and Track & Field.
Sports have always been a part of Mr. Hull’s life; he ran cross country and track and field throughout middle and high school. Growing up in New York and surrounded by Buffalo Bills fans, the team sort of stuck with him; when asked what his favorite sports teams were, he replied with the Buffalo Bills and his university’s football team, the Ohio State Buckeyes. When it comes to music, his favorite song or band depends on the day, but his longtime favorites are Greta Van Fleet and Metallica. As for what he looks forward to, Mr. Hull has his eye on Mountain Day and all the other outdoor activities coming soon.
So if you happen to see Mr. Hull anywhere on campus, whether it’s in the classroom, at sports, at Mayer House, or just around the corner, don’t hesitate to say hello.
Welcome to Eaglebrook, Mr. Hull!
